4 Productivity Hacks to Supercharge Your Week

Productivity. I’d say it’s probably the biggest buzzword of all time (at least in the business world). Think about it – who wouldn’t want to get more done in less time? After all, then you’d have extra time to devote to the things that really matter and to expand  your business. Here are 4 productivity hacks you can use to really get shit done.

Work When You’re Most Productive

Let’s be honest. We’ve all had projects that caused us to work hours where it was like pulling teeth to feel like we’re getting traction…let alone accomplishing anything. Take serious advantage of the time where you are most productive. Use that time to focus on your most pressing projects.

Save your less mentally taxing issues for other times during the day (or night) if you can’t get it all done during your peak productivity hours.

Look Into Outsourcing

Outsourcing gets a bad rep. First, if your initial thought is people in a foreign country, you should know that it doesn’t have to be that way (but it’s also fine if you prefer to work with people that aren’t in your country). The purpose of outsourcing is to delegate specific tasks so that you can focus on the important things like building your business.

Eliminate Distractions

This point never wins me any friends. Turn off your email notifications. Turn off your social media notification. Turn off your ringer. Put your phone away. I leave mine on vibrate and place it behind my laptop monitor. I can’t see it, but I can hear the vibration for text messages. I’m still able to check my phone if necessary. Don’t check your email  more than three times per day. No one will die. People lose hours each week to social media and email triage. You deserve better than that.

Do What Works for You

There’s no one right or wrong way to make you more productive. Maybe you’re more productive if you just tackle the hardest item of your day first. Maybe you need to
warm up. It could be paper lists. Whatever works for, do it. That’s the best way to improve your time management skills!
